BREAKOUT A
Technology: Program Developments

This track will evaluate technologies that play a crucial role in bettering the passenger experience, not only for passengers but also for airlines and the multiple vendors involved in creating this experience. Speakers will address technical issues related to payment technologies, file delivery, software management equipment and systems, connectivity and other vital technology issues impacting the industry today.

BREAKOUT B
Experience: Improving Travel

The passenger experience is more than those hours inflight. The airline passenger's total travel experience includes all interactions from ticket purchase through baggage claim. Presentations within this track will share key concepts and new offerings, such as gaming trends, cabin crew operations, branding and passenger taste, all of which will better the experience for everyone involved, from passengers and airlines to crew and content vendors.

BREAKOUT C
Wireless: An Exploration

When it comes to wireless onboard, there are many key issues (bandwidth, portable devices, digital rights management) as well as invested parties (airlines, government entities, vendors, passengers). This track will take a deep look at this hot topic!

Call for EXPO Educational Session Proposals

APEX issued a Call for EXPO Educational Session Proposals to invite all members and industry experts to submit topics to be added to the agenda. We received nearly 20 submissions, the most APEX has received to date! The Education Committee, with assistance from the Technology Committee, reviewed the proposals based on the following criteria:

  • creativity and appeal
  • appropriateness of topic
  • level of content
  • new, cutting-edge innovations not been previously presented
  • expertise of proposed speakers and speaker selection related to experience and topics

After much discussion, the committees chose 9 proposals to be represented on the EXPO Breakout Session agenda. All sessions within the three tracks were a result of APEX member and industry expert feedback and involvement. Thank you to those who submitted proposals! We appreciate your involvement and dedication to the association.

There’s something for everyone at the APEX 2012 EXPO.
